The
Australian
Government
has
decided
to
allow
opening
of
resident
diplomatic
office
of
the
Republic
of
Macedonia
in
Australia,
the
Macedonian
Ministry
of
Foreign
Affairs
reported.
As
the
announcement
states,
Macedonian
Foreign
Minister
Ilinka
Mitreva
was
informed
about
this
decision
of
Canberra
by
her
Australian
counterpart
Alexander
Downer.
"The
Macedonian
Ministry
of
Foreign
Affairs
hails
the
decision
of
the
Australian
government.
We
believe
that
the
opening
of
the
Macedonian
resident
diplomatic
office
will
urge
the
diplomatic
relations
between
the
two
countries
and
will
provide
conditions
for
better
cooperation
on
political,
economic
and
cultural
field,"
states
the
announcement
from
the
Macedonian
Foreign
Ministry.
