Stefan:
SOC
choses
wrong
way
for
solving
of
our
dispute

(Jan

Archbishop
of
Ohrid
and
Macedonia
His
Holiness
Stefan
held
a
holy
liturgy
Sunday
at
the
Bitola
Church
"St.
Great
Martyr
Dimitrij"
in
the
honor
of
the
Water
Blessing
Holiday.
"In
the
past,
St.
Sava
also
separated
the
Serbian
Church
-
former
Pek
Archbishopric
-
from
Ohrid.
Therefore,
someone's
idea
to
make
decisions
in
independent
and
sovereign
Macedonian
state
on
the
status
and
name
of
our
holy
church
is
not
just
an
attempt
for
returning
to
some
desired
past,
but
also
denial
of
the
present
and
the
truth
about
the
Macedonian
Church,"
Stefan
said
to
gathered
believers.
What
would
happen
if
other
neighbors
of
Macedonia,
worried
about
solving
of
the
church
issue,
started
to
appoint
their
exarchs,
Stefan
said.
"I
believe
in
the
wisdom
and
good-intentions
of
the
others
and
hope
that
the
Serbian
Orthodox
Church
(SOC)
will
realize
it
has
chosen
the
wrong
way,
i.e.
non-canonic
way
that
cannot
solve
our
problem,"
Stefan
said.
After
the
liturgy,
members
of
the
World
Macedonian
Congress
(WMC)
and
several
non-governmental
organizations
peacefully
protested
as
a
sign
of
support
of
the
Macedonian
Orthodox
Church
(MOC).
"Macedonians
throughout
the
world
fully
support
MOC
-
spiritual
pillar
of
everything
that
belongs
to
Macedonia.
This
is
a
time
when
we
should
be
side
by
side
with
our
holy
Macedonian
Orthodox
Church
and
its
clergymen,
"
WMC
chairman
Todor
Petrov
said.
