Russian
Ambassador
to
Macedonia
Agaron
Asatur
will
arrange
a
reception
Friday
regarding
the
10th
anniversary
of
establishing
diplomatic
ties
between
Macedonia
and
Russia,
which
will
be
attended
by
Macedonian
Prime
Minister
Branko
Crvenkovski
and
Foreign
Minister
Ilinka
Mitreva.
Macedonian
and
Russian
nations
have
been
connected
by
deep
historical
and
cultural
ties
of
mutual
respect
and
friendship.
For
the
last
ten
years
since
the
establishment
of
diplomatic
relations
between
the
two
countries,
Russia
has
supported
Macedonia's
international
recognition,
acknowledgement
of
its
constitutional
name,
preservation
of
its
territorial
integrity
and
unitary
character.
The
Russian
support
was
reconfirmed
during
the
visit
of
Crvenkovski
to
Moscow
in
October
of
2003,
and
the
meeting
with
his
Russian
counterpart
Mikhail
Kasyanov
-
the
first
Macedonian-Russian
meeting
at
Premiers'
level.
Both
Governments
agreed
that
the
good
bilateral
relations
should
be
valorized
in
practical
economic
cooperation.
Therefore,
the
reception
will
be
used
for
reviewing
the
possibilities
for
intensifying
of
the
economic
cooperation
between
the
two
countries.
"This
year,
which
marks
the
10th
anniversary
from
the
establishment
of
diplomatic
relations
between
Russia
and
Macedonia,
should
be
the
beginning
of
the
mutual
cooperation
of
both
countries
in
the
energetic
sector,"
Asatur
said
in
the
interview
for
the
agency
ITAR-TASS.
He
also
mentioned
the
spheres
of
Russian
interest,
agreed
by
Macedonian
and
Russian
businessmen
and
governmental
representatives
at
a
constitution
of
the
Macedonian-Russian
Economic
Forum.
Asatur
said
that
a
delegation
from
the
Moscow
area
would
arrive
to
Skopje
in
the
first
half
of
February
to
review
Macedonia's
potentials
related
to
the
pharmaceutical,
tobacco
and
wine
industry,
possibilities
for
Russian
participation
in
privatization
and
establishment
of
mixed
companies,
which
will
produce
goods
for
the
Balkan
and
European
countries.
The
Macedonian
Government
has
already
taken
all
necessary
measures
to
provide
conditions
for
more
flexible
cooperation.
Macedonia's
accession
to
the
World
Trade
Organization
and
signing
of
free
trade
agreements
with
all
SEE
countries
have
made
Macedonia
a
large
market,
attractive
for
all
countries
with
high
potential
of
natural
resources,
such
as
Russia.
