With
one-minute
silence
in
honor
of
the
death
of
the
President
Boris
Trajkovski
and
eight
members
of
his
accompaniment,
a
commemorative
session
on
Trajkovski's
life
and
work
has
been
held
Monday
in
the
Macedonian
Parliament.
Parliament
Speaker
Ljupco
Jordanovski
talked
about
the
life
and
work
of
Macedonian
President
Boris
Trajkovski.
"Today
we
bid
farewell
to
our
President,
a
statesman,
friend,
spouse,
parent
and
brother,
who
had
an
extraordinary
energy,
persistence,
wisdom
and
tolerance
to
perform
the
duties
of
a
President.
Jordanovski
talked
on
Trajkovski
biography
and
professional
and
political
engagement,
his
participation
at
conferences
on
resolving
conflicts
and
religious
tolerance,
awards
and
tributes.
"Trajkovski
belonged
to
the
generation
of
young
European
modern
politicians,
who
urged
for
respecting
of
the
human
rights
and
democracy,"
Jordanovski
said.
Jordanovski
pointed
out
Trajkovski's
important
role
in
the
foreign
policy,
cooperation
with
SEE
countries,
peaceful
and
good
neighboring
policy,
European
vision
and
establishment
of
a
new
quality
of
the
leader's
place
in
the
region,
accession
of
the
Republic
of
Macedonia
to
NATO
structures,
where
he
made
significance
to
the
relations
with
China,
US
and
Russia.
"Trajkovski
determined
his
role
in
the
period
of
the
conflict
in
2001,
where
he
put
his
own
mark.
Trajkovski's
persistence
can
not
be
forgotten,
his
strong
determination
to
be
a
President
of
all
citizens,
and
the
presidential
function
above
the
party.
The
citizens'
interests
had
central
place,"
Jordanovski
said.
"Reactions
that
arrive
from
the
whole
world
point
out
on
Trajkovski
personality
and
work,"
Jordanovski
added,
calling
him
a
peacemaker
of
the
Balkan,
a
man
for
peace
and
dialogue
completely
devoted
to
the
assignments
and
optimist
with
a
feeling
for
reality.
He
tragically
ended
right
on
the
day
when
Macedonia
should
have
stepped
on
the
road
to
EU."
"In
the
memories
of
all
who
knew
him,
Trajkovski
will
remain
embodiment
of
closeness
and
openness
with
the
people.
The
great
statesmen
considered
him
as
their
friend
from
the
first
meeting.
He
was
a
man
of
the
nation
and
his
cabinet
was
opened
for
everyone,"
Jordanovski
said.
