neighbouring

"The
Republic
of
Macedonia
has
a
special
obligation
to
Macedonian
people
living
in
the
neighboring
countries.
Such
obligation
is
built
in
the
urges
for
trust
and
cooperation's
advancement
in
the
whole
region
and
with
each
neighbor
separately,"
Macedonian
Foreign
Minister
Ilinka
Mitreva
said
Monday
in
front
of
the
church
"St.
Elijah"
regarding
Ilinden
at
the
gathering
in
Golo
Brdo,
Albania.
Mitreva
pointed
out
that
the
governments
of
Macedonia
and
Albania
understood
the
need
of
friendship
and
cooperation
and
they
helped
each
other
in
the
way
to
their
mutual
strategic
goals
-
integration
with
EU
and
NATO.
Mitreva
expressed
support
to
Albanian
Government
and
PM
Fatos
Nano's
efforts
for
improvement
of
the
minorities'
rights
in
the
country
and
she
welcomed
the
establishment
of
the
Committee
on
Minorities
within
the
Albanian
Government,
in
which
a
representative
of
Macedonian
national
minority
participates.
Mitreva
stated
that
majority's
obligation
is
to
take
care
of
the
minority,
to
guarantee
minority's
originality,
culture
and
to
enable
its
mother
tongue
education.
"Macedonia
did
a
lot
on
the
plan
of
the
ethnic
communities'
rights,
their
education
and
integration
with
our
society
as
an
investment
for
more
stable,
prosperous
and
European
Macedonia,"
Mitreva
added.
