The
37th
International
Seminar
on
Macedonian
Language,
Literature
and
Culture
will
begin
in
Ohrid
on
August
4-22.
Aleksandar
Ancevski,
Rector
of
SS.
Cyril
and
Methodius
University,
will
open
the
seminar.
This
year's
seminar
is
dedicated
to
the
60th
ASNOM
anniversary
and
its
significance
for
the
Macedonian
language.
Secretary
of
the
ASNOM
Initiative
Board
and
first
Macedonian
President,
Kiro
Gligorov
will
be
a
lecturer
at
the
seminar.
The
seminar
will
include
80
participants
from
26
countries
from
Europe,
Asia,
America
and
Australia.
Special
emphasis
will
be
put
on
the
church-Slavic
literacy
from
the
Moravia
mission
through
the
works
of
Cyril
and
Methodius.
The
seminar
is
divided
in
two
parts.
The
first
is
comprised
of
starting,
medium
and
advanced
courses
in
editing
instruction,
while
the
second
part
encompasses
the
field
of
literature,
art
and
culture,
with
a
special
focus
on
ASNOM.
In
addition,
the
31st
scientific
conference
on
topic
"ASNOM
in
Macedonian
Cultural
History"
will
be
held
on
August
16-17.
