The
US
Secretary
of
Defense
Donald
Rumsfeld
sent
a
letter
to
Macedonian
Defense
Minister
Vlado
Buckovski
pointing
out
the
open
support
for
the
politics
he
carried
out
and
welcoming
the
determination
to
deal
with
the
difficulties
in
the
last
few
months.
Rumsfeld
thanked
to
the
Macedonian
soldiers
participating
in
the
peacekeeping
mission
in
Iraq,
where,
referring
to
his
opinion,
they
have
demonstrated
extraordinary
results.
"Thanks
to
your
assistance,
the
multinational
peacekeeping
forces
in
Iraq
will
continue
to
provide
the
necessary
support
aimed
to
hold
the
forthcoming
elections
and
ratification
of
the
new
constitution
and
then
establishment
of
a
new
government,"
Rumsfeld's
letter
reads.
The
letter
enclosed
a
report
regarding
the
progress
in
Iraq
and
information
on
different
aspects
of
the
coalitions'
efforts.
