The
Macedonian-Croatian
relations
are
friendly
and
they
could
serve
as
a
good
example
for
regional
cooperation,
Prime
Ministers
of
both
countries,
Hari
Kostov
and
Ivo
Sanader
said
after
Monday's
meeting.
"There
are
no
open
issues
between
the
two
countries
and
Skopje
and
Zagreb
pledge
for
stronger
co-operation
in
all
spheres,
especially
in
economy,"
Sanader
said.
Both
Prime
Ministers
assessed
that
Macedonia
and
Croatia
should
boost
the
cooperation
in
the
sphere
of
Euro-integration,
especially
in
the
part
where
Macedonia
could
use
the
Croatian
experience
in
submitting
the
application
for
EU
membership
and
in
responding
the
European
Commission's
questionnaire.
"Macedonia
and
Croatia
must
reach
political
stability
and
economic
prosperity
in
order
to
attain
full-fledged
EU
membership,"
Croatian
PM
added.
"The
project
United
Europe
has
no
chances
for
success
if
the
Southeast
European
countries
are
not
included.
But,
the
criteria
and
the
individual
demands
of
the
EU
must
be
accomplished,"
Sanader
said.
Macedonian
and
Croatian
Foreign
Ministers
Ilinka
Mitreva
and
Miomir
Zuzul
signed
Cooperation
Agreement
refereeing
to
the
Approximation
and
Accession
of
both
countries
towards
the
EU.
The
annual
trade
exchange
between
Macedonia
and
Croatia
is
relatively
balanced
and
this
year
it
is
expected
to
range
US
160
million,
both
PMs
said.
Kostov
announced
possibility
for
signing
an
agreement
with
Croatia
for
season
engagement
of
workers
from
Macedonia
in
the
Croatia's
shipyards.
In
direction
to
intensifying
of
the
economic
cooperation
is
the
Economic
Forum
organized
by
Macedonian
Commerce
Chamber,
focusing
on
direct
communication
between
businessmen
from
both
countries,
and
intensification
of
the
economic
cooperation.
In
regard
to
the
Ljube
Boskovski's
case,
Sanader
said
that
he
is
in
the
hands
of
the
judiciary
and
the
Government
has
no
intention
to
be
involved
in
the
case,
adding
that
the
Croatia's
court
will
conduct
the
case
objectively
and
professionally.
Croatian
PM
also
met
Macedonian
President
Branko
Crvenkovski
and
Parliament
Speaker
Ljupco
Jordanovski.
