OHRID,

- Ministry

and

stated

the

in

The
annual
quantity
of
phosphates
introduced
in
the

is
half
a
kilogram
per
person,
while
phosphates
are
the
largest

and
the
basic
reason
for
the
quick
aging
of
the
Ohrid
and
other
lakes.
The
branch
office
of
the
Protect
for
Protection
of
Ohrid
Lake
began
a
media
campaign
for
non-usage
of
phosphate
detergents
two
years
ago,
but
there
is
a
necessity
for
a
legal
regulative,
forbidding
the
use
of
phosphate

which
is
a
practice
in
numerous
countries
worldwide.
