NATO

disposed
waste
materials

an
illegal
and
hazardous
manner

- NATO
reiterates
its
previous
statements
on
the
issue
of
waste
material
deposits
at
Krivolak
Training
Range
and
the
surrounding
area,
Friday's
NATO
statement
reads.
"NATO
has
not,
and
would
not,
in
any
circumstance
wilfully
dispose
waste
materials
in
an
illegal
and
hazardous
manner.
In
the
case
of
the
Krivolak
training
range
and
the
surrounding
area,
NATO
has
not
used
any
materials
considered
to
be
hazardous
to
the
region
in
its
training
programs
in
support
of
current
operations
in
the
region.
NATO
maintains
a
policy
of
safety
in
all
areas
for
its
members
and
for
the
communities
in
which
they
operate.
We
share
a
mutual
respect
and
concern
for
the
health
and
welfare
of
the
individuals
and
the
environment
in
which
we
live
and
adhere
to
all
local
policies
concerning
the
elimination
of
waste
materials,"
statement
