took
part
at
the
meeting
dedicated
to
the
Report
of
the
World
Commission
on
the
Social
Dimension
of
Globalization
within
the
UN
General
Assembly,
held
under
the
auspices
of
Finnish
and
Tanzanian
Presidents,
Tarja
Halonen
and
Benjamin
William
Mkapa.
Mitreva
also
participated
at
meeting
"Action
Against
Hunger
and
Poverty",
organized
by
the
Brazilian
President
Luiz
Inacio
da
Silva.
As
the
Foreign
Ministry
stated
in
a
press
release,
a
final
declaration
was
adopted
at
the
meeting,
which
was
supported
by
the
UN
member-states.
Macedonian
FM
also
met
with
Spanish
FM
Miguel
Angel
Moratinos
and
her
Slovenian
counterpart
Ivo
Vajgl.
Mitreva
informed
Moratinos
on
the
steps
that
Macedonian
authorities
have
been
undertaking
on
the
path
towards
EU
and
NATO
membership.
"The
first
meeting
of
the
Stabilization
and
Association
Council
has
confirmed
the
high
level
of
partnership
between
Macedonia
and
the
EU",
she
said.
Mitreva
also
said
that
the
issue
of
facilitation
of
the
visa
regime
was
of
crucial
importance
for
Macedonian
citizens.
"Spain
will
continue
to
support
Macedonia
into
the
Euro-Atlantic
integration
processes.
Macedonia
and
the
entire
region
are
of
strategic
importance
for
the
EU",
Spanish
FM
said.
He
also
promised
concrete
engagement
in
Macedonia's
request
for
facilitation
of
the
visa
regime
in
the
European
Commission.
He
announced
that
Spain
would
soon
send
a
diplomatic
representative
in
Macedonia,
aiming
at
strengthening
of
bilateral
relations,
especially
economic
cooperation.
"We
see
Macedonia
as
a
factor
of
stability
in
the
region,
and
we
support
the
Euro-Atlantic
integration
of
the
country",
