- Macedonian
President
Branko
Crvenkovski
will
take
part
at
the
59th
UN
General
Assembly
in
New
York
on
September
22-24.
President
Crvenkovski
will
address
the
General
Assembly,
supporting
UN
efforts
for
preservation
of
world
peace
and
dealing
with
global
threats.
He
is
to
stress
Macedonia's
support
in
this
process,
as
well
as
the
efforts
for
resolutions
that
would
make
the
organization
more
efficient
and
ready
to
cope
with
the
new
challenges.
President
Crvenkovski
will
reaffirm
Macedonia's
domestic
and
foreign
priorities,
as
well
as
the
reform
processes
for
the
country's
integration
in
European
and
Euro-Atlantic
institutions.
He
is
to
meet
UN
Secretary
General
Kofi
Annan,
along
with
bilateral
meetings
with
the
President
of
Swiss
Confederation
Josef
Deiss,
Albanian
Prime
Minister
Fatos
Nano,
as
well
as
president
of
Institute
Open
Society
and
Foundations
"Soros",
George
Soros.
Furthermore,
President
Crvenkovski
will
meet
with
Macedonian
emigrants
in
New
Jersey,
and
attend
the
opening
of
"Macedonian
Promotion
Center",
which
basic
activity
will
be
Macedonia's
promotion
in
USA
through
information,
contacts
and
cultural
events.
