- The
Macedonian-American
community
from
New
Jersey
proclaimed
the
President
of
Macedonia,
Branko
Crvenkovski,
a
persona
non-grate
within
their
community.
They
went
on
to
encourage
President
Crvenkovski
to
hold
meetings
with
the
Albanian-American
community,
as
he
had
done
in
his
prior
visits.
After
holding
a
meeting,
all
of
the
Macedonian-American
organizations
in
New
Jersey
decided
to
deny
Crvenkovski
visitation
rights
to
any
of
the
Macedonian
Churches
or
Clubs.
“Let
no
one
mislead
you
into
thinking
that
Crvenkovski
met
with
members
of
the
Macedonian
Diaspora
because
all
of
the
Macedonian
Organizations
from
New
Jersey
denied
him
access
to
all
of
the
Macedonian
Churches
and
Clubs
here.
It
is
true
that
we
had
scheduled
a
public
forum
with
him
for
Friday,
September
24th,
however
after
we
informed
the
community
through
the
local
Macedonian
radio
program,
the
Macedonians
revolted
and
we
decided
to
call
off
the
meeting.
That
meeting
was
organized
by
Crvenkovski’s
request
through
the
Macedonian
General
Consulate
in
Detroit,”
is
concluded
in
the
statement
given
by
this
particular
Macedonian
Community
in
the
United
States.
Contrary
to
the
statement
of
the
New
Jersey's
ethnic
Macedonians,
Presidents’
Cabinet
circulated
the
statement
that
he
had
met
with
members
of
the
Macedonian
Diaspora
from
New
York,
New
Jersey,
Detroit,
and
other
communities
from
the
United
States.
The
Presidents’
statement
also
informed
the
general
public
that
discussions
with
the
Diaspora
were
based
on
general
themes
regarding
the
Republic
of
Macedonia,
included
issues,
which
related
to
Macedonian
Immigrants.
“They
only
met
with
individuals.
They
were
not
representatives
of
the
Macedonians
living
in
the
United
States,”
stated
Naum
Naumovski,
president
of
the
Macedonian
Church,
“Sts.
Kiril
and
Metodi”
in
New
Jersey.
He
also
stated
that
he
denied
requests
made
by
the
Macedonian
Presidents’
Cabinet
to
meet
with
them
twice
already.
The
reactions
made
by
the
Macedonian
Church
and
the
Human
Rights
Movement
were
both
conclusive.
We
do
not
approve
of
Crvenkovski’s
work.
He
is
the
main
reason
for
the
division
of
the
Macedonian
people;
he
literally
has
not
done
anything
for
Macedonia.
During
his
mandate
as
Prime
Minister,
Macedonia
was
renamed,
divided;
our
flag
does
not
fly
in
Gostivar
and
Tetovo.
Moreover,
during
his
mandate,
changes
were
made
to
the
articles
in
the
Macedonian
Constitution
that
stated
support
for
the
Macedonian
minority
in
Greece,
thousands
of
unemployed
are
literally
roaming
the
streets
of
Macedonia,
crime
and
corruption
rule,
they
signed
the
Ohrid
Framework
Agreement,
an
agreement
that
doesn’t
specify
any
responsibilities
for
the
[ethnic]
Albanians
as
citizens
of
Macedonia,
and
his
party
went
into
a
ruling
coalition
with
DUI,
the
party
of
former
Albanian
Terrorist,
Ali
Ahmeti
who
in
turn
provided
protection
for
all
the
commanders
from
the
NLA.
Plain
and
simple,
we
are
dissatisfied
with
the
Presidents’
work
as
leader
of
a
political
party,
as
Prime
Minister
having
three
mandates,
and
now
as
President
of
the
Republic
of
Macedonia.
He
left
the
Macedonian
Diaspora
out
of
the
picture
with
no
rights
within
their
mother
country.
To
him
there
is
no
such
thing
as
a
Macedonian
outside
Macedonia.
He
never
asked
to
meet
with
us
before,
and
now
after
all
of
his
catastrophic
mistakes,
he
asks
us,”
read
the
statement
by
Naumovski
for
the
Macedonian
daily
Vreme.
