Macedonia
coach Dragan Kanatlarovski has named a
19-man squad for the UEFA EURO 2004
qualifying matches against England and
Slovakia.
Kanatlarovski,
who replaced Nikola Ilievski in the hot seat
earlier this month, has selected FK Partizan
defender Milan Stojanoski after a one-year
absence from the squad. Meanwhile, the four
players who were recalled for the recent 3-1
friendly win against Albania - defenders
Igor Gjuzelov, Igor Mitreski and Goran
Stavrevski, and striker Georgi Hristov - are
also included.
Another
defender, Goce Sedloski, will miss the
England tie in Skopje on 6 September through
suspension, but will be back to face
Slovakia in Zilina four days later - in what
will be the Macedonians final Group 7
outing.
However,
Kanatlarovski is without defender Aleksandar
Vasoski, who has a thigh injury, and striker
Robert Popov who is recovering from knee
surgery. "We have nothing to lose
against England," he said. "My
players will do their best and show they are
capable of achieving a good result against a
great team."
