Friendly announced between Macedonia and Bosnia as Dimitrovski is player of the year

Siljanovski Network (Jan 10, 2004) - The Macedonian Football Federation have announced that they are to stage a friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina on 18 February, while revealing that Dragan Dimitrovski is their player of the year for 2003.

Macedonia, drawn in FIFA World Cup qualifying Group 1 against the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Romania, Finland, Armenia and Andorra, will welcome Bosnia-Herzegovina to either Skopje, Prilep or Strumica. The Macedonians are hoping for their first win in four attempts against their opponents, having previously lost 1-0 and drawn 1-1 and 4-4.

Meanwhile, FK Pobeda forward Dragan Dimitrovski was honoured after a fine calendar year. Title-holders FK Vardar, who reached the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round after beating PFC CSKA Moskva were named team of the year, and their coach Zoran Stratev, who joined the summer after leading to FK Cementarnica 55 to the Macedonian Cup, taking the plaudits in his category.

Cementarnica's Almir Bajramovski was young player of the year, FK Sloga Jugomagnat's Ljubisa Savic the best goalscorer and Brazilian Dos Santos Wandeir, now with Cementarnica after leaving Vardar, the best foreign player in Macedonian football. NK Dinamo Zagreb's Goce Sedloski was named best foreign-based Macedonian player.
