- Macedonia's
Prva
liga
will
in
future
be
run
by
the
newly
formed
Union
of
Top
Division
Clubs,
the
Macedonian
Football
Union
(FSM)
has
announced.
The
new
body
was
established
at
the
weekend
and
the
FSM
will
hand
over
all
duties
concerning
the
top
flight
from
the
restart
of
the
2002/03
season
in
March.
The
Union
of
Top
Division
Clubs
will
appoint
match
and
disciplinary
delegates
for
league
games
and
take
over
the
disciplinary
watchdog's
role
in
the
Prva
liga.
Dimitar
Ciev,
president
of
FK
Sloga
Jugomagnat,
has
been
named
the
new
union's
first
president
and
will
serve
an
18-month
term.
"I
was
elected
as
first
among
equals,"
Ciev
said.
"Every
decision
will
be
taken
in
accordance
with
all
the
clubs
and
for
the
wellbeing
of
Macedonian
football."
FSM
president
Haralampije
Hadziristeski
said:
"The
existence
of
the
Union
of
Top
Division
Clubs
will
significantly
contribute
to
the
better
and
more
efficient
functioning
of
the
FSM."
