3 day Solo Hike over Easter 26 - 28 April 2000

Grade Medium.  Need route finding & compasss using skills   Lots of rock hoping river crossings.
Stinging nettle grew in some places along the rivers.  Wear gaiters.  Don't forget your anti leech cream.
2 well-fed ones were attached to me untill Mittagong Visistor Centre.  Luckily, they were not with me
on the night bus back to Melbourne.  Thanks to the cleaning staff  who was patient waiting for me.

Transport to the bus stop on
Wattle Ridge.  Walked Starlights track about 2 hour down to the campsite.

Set up camp then explored the river downstream.  Ahearn Lookout can be viewed from Macarthurs Flat campsite

The track crosses McArthur Flat.
A younng bushwalker named Jill helped to open this new route.

Nattai River view from a narrow goat track which is about 30m above
the river.

The river flows over a wide flat rock area before tumbling over a waterfall into a large deep rock pool.

Crossed another large slab rock
and set up camp.  Luckily,
there were no leech around
