Beautiful sunny weather and
fantastic mountain views.
Mt Earnslaw. Just the right time
and place for lunch

Early morning view of Mt Clark
from Shelter Rock Hut (20 bunk )
The sandflies can be very bad. Also
at north of the hut, between early
Oct and Feb, trampers may encounter  nesting falcons

The final steep climb to Rees Saddle (1447m).  Care is required when wet or covered with snow.  If clear skies,
the saddle  provides good views of peaks & valleys and is the place to stop for lunch and to take all in.  About 4km from Shelter Hut.

Heading down the Upper Snowy Creek   Passing tarns above the creek.
Take care.  The route can be
dangerous when wet or covered
with snow.

Good views of the Upper Dart Valley.
Glaciers can be seen in the distance.
