This web site, is designed as a diary on the progress of our suburban block. The project for this block ,is to maintain the philosophy of Permaculture, with the re-designing  and landscaping of the property.  The aim of the project is to maximise space, minimise work and ensure everything implemented into the yard has several functions within its design and landscape. In conjunction with these aims, is also the capturing and enhancement of the natural qualities available to us within the yard, such as sun, wind and rain.  

The climate in Melbourne, Australia, is cool. The soil on the property is primarily clay based. The house faces east- west, sitting towards the top part of the property.  The back yard catches all of the afternoon sun and is slightly undulating towards the back of the property.

The web site is designed into months, showing the general changes within the yard, and is being maintained as a personal journal.
