CASEWORK & FINISH
Black Art now offer a choice
of finish either open mounted this is the generic transformer
look utilitarian with universal ie any, face mounting brackets.
This allows for under chassis mounting and orientation to maximise
noise rejection.
The other finsh option is for fitted casework. These fitted cases
are now available fitted to the current range of interstage transformers.
Each case is constructed from aluminium and stainless steel. Finished
in black "leather look" paintwork with captive mounting
nuts. Flying leads exit from beneath the case to avoid yet another
interruption to the signal path.

Due to the internal construction of some of the designs they may
only be suitable for fitted/potted casework. This will be noted
in the finsh column.
Under Development
The following table contains a list
of the interstage transformers currently under development at
Black Art. They are listed for reference and are not yet at a
sufficient stage of development to be unleashed into the big wide
world. Should you require further information please contact Black
Art.

NOTES :
Frequency response is measured in
circuit using the actual valve indicated in the "suggested
valve" column. The response quoted is measured at the limit
of class A operation or in the case of line output transformers
for 1 VRMS into the 600 Ohm load and indicates the -1.0 dB points.
Single Ended transformers are designed
to operate at a specific bias current. Using a different current
WILL compromise bass performance and increase distortion which
will result in a lumpy indistinct bass and a veiling of the midrange
vocal articulation. If you intend to operate Black Art transformers
above or below their rated bias please contact Black Art and we
will adjust the air gap to suit your application.
