BLACK ART AUDIO

Black Art

Designers and manufacturers of hand wound transformers for audio.

The Black Art logo is the " Pa Kua " character " Tui ". The "Pa Kua" are the eight complementary pairs of opposites. Usually placed in a circle, the circumference of which symbolises time and space. Each trigram in the Pa Kua represents a force in nature and there are four yin and for yang powers giving balance and harmony in the universe. These eight symbols are called : K'ien, Tui, Li, Chen, Sun, K'an, Kan and K'un

The symbol "Tui" embodies the following concepts and feelings :- Collected water, lakes, mashes, mists, clouds, absorption, impregnation, receptive wisdom, fertility, satisfaction, pleasure, inward going intelligence.

The font is a derivation from a form used by Roman stonemasons. ( c. 1 AD ) The cross bars on the "A" not only unify the design but add to the "ancient & mysterious" feeling that is appropriate to the subtle and complex nature of transformers design and its delicately balanced and conflicting forces ?

The logo was developed by the creative team at L.Graham & Partners, Creative Consultants Melbourne, Australia
