The inaugural Narrow Gauge Convention was held in Melbourne over Easter 1996. Almost 100 people enjoyed a relaxing weekend of stories and instruction in all things narrow gauge, and we started a fashion that has seen conventions continue to the point where the seventh is to be held in Albury over Eastrer 2005.
